COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING AND NURSING RESEARCH

Community Health Nursingfaculty helps to develop the skills of the students for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individuals, families, groups and community at different stages of their lives.They are also involved in imparting regular health education to the public of the rural and urban areas, in guiding the UG/PG research projects of students and research consultancy.

The department is involved in providing excellent service in nursing education, research and practice which include comprehensive and holistic nursing care services aiming at preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative components of care in the community.The Department actively participates in the extension activities like National Health Programmes and health camps. At present the department is qualified with staffs who are fully involved in training students in community health nursing and in promoting health and preventing Illness.

Nurses need research because it helps them advance in their field, stay updated and offer better patient care. Information literacy skills can help nurses use information more effectively to develop their own conclusions. Evidence-based practice is important for nurses. Research department provides great opportunity for students to do research in various fields. And also encourage the students and faculty to publish their research works.
