Ragging is a criminal offence as per the supreme court verdict. In view of direction of honourable supreme court in SLP NO 24295 of 2006 dated 16/05/2007 and civil appeal no ;887 of 2009 dated 8/5/2009 to prevent ,prohibit, and eliminate the ragging. Being a collective responsibility strict measures are being taken in this college to prevent ragging. Ant ragging committee is an active unit in KVM college of nursing to create awareness regarding ragging and its consequences among the students. Our college is a ragging free campus by the collaborative effort of anti ragging committees , anti ragging squad and PTA.

Measures undertaken to prevent ragging in campus
1.In the prospectus it is clearly mentioned that ragging is totally banned and those individual in such activity are liable for punishment .
2.An affidavit is being filled up n get signed by the parent and student during admission time.
3.The clear cut information given to the Iyr students to approach their coordinator if any problem occurs in this regard .
4.Clear,vigilant supervision and monitoring is maintained by the warden during hostel time.
5.At the commencement of academic year adequate information regarding the measures to prevent ragging to parents and students .
6.The principal conducted meeting at the beginning of academic year and selected the committee members.
7.The committee members conducted a meeting among themselves and planned about the forthcoming activities.
8.Anti ragging squad and students undergone a session from the chairperson and planned how to implement the ant ragging measures in current academic year.
9.The supreme court order against ragging had made very clear to the students of all classes.
10.Surprise visit were made to the hostel by the anti ragging squad to confirm the safety of freshers.
